Kyary Pamyu Pamyu & the Incredible Tongue Brushing Tablets!
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, the model & singer familiar to millions as the face & voice behind the hit viral video PONPONPON has a new gig. Starting tomorrow, Kyary will begin life anew as the “image character” for BREO tongue brushing tablets (yes, they actually sell tongue brushing tablets in Japan… click here for thrilling demo video).
Folks who venture to Tokyo’s major transportation hubs can expect to see huge posters of Kyary made up in the guise of four different “transformations” with the command “EAT BREO” writ quite large on her tongue. The makeovers include (possible spoilers)…
Incredible though it may seem, Kyary herself helped designed all her own costumes, of which the Alien is her favorite. Of this task, she says, “I wanted to give the strange impression that I was something I wasn’t. I got to present a bunch of different costumes and hairstyle ideas.”
Kyary is soon to embark on her first nationwide tour of Japan and has a new single (and presumably a new wacky video to go along with it) due in mid-March. We predict plenty of fresh breath and clean tongues ahead in her future.
